![]() ![]() So there you have some of my favorite jailbreak tweaks for iOS 9. this does mean all icons are smaller, as are menus but I found this to be worth the compromise. Now, if you also have betterFiveIconDock installed as I do, stacking the dock icons like this can mean you get some overlap - as you can see in the video, but LittleBrother has thought of this and allows you to reduce their size by zooming out of the display, reducing the size of the icons. The same goes for your other apps - they all rotate 90 degrees. However, with LittleBrother, you'll see the dock moved to the right and the icons rotated and stacked one above the other so you can read them. On the home screen, rotating your iPhone normally doesn't do a lot, unless you have one of the larger 6-series models. However, I find that being able to do this on my 'tiny' iPhone 6 is fantastic, especially when I'm laying down. The larger two of the four iPhone 6-series models can rotate the screen in a number of situations to make use of their extra screen space. LittleBrother - rotate the home screen and zoom icons It's something that you need to experience yourself, but anyone with half-decent hand-eye coordination will appreciate the faster iOS experience Speed Intensifier gives, and it can definitely improve things for older devices too.ĥ. You can apply basic speed boosts for the whole OS, the springboard or in apps. We first had NoSloAnimations - which did a similar job, but SpeedIntensifier gives you far more control over a number of options. IOS's animations are all very well, but it's surprising just how much they slow your experience down. Speed Intensifier - give iOS 9 a turbo mode They're slick and you're bound to find one you like - personally I love Cube Outside.Ĥ. Simply install the app, head to settings, find Barrel and select an animation by tapping the mode button. Sadly it's not free but costs just $2,99 - money well spent in my opinion.īarrel changes the animation when swiping between screens to one of numerous fantastically-animated effects. There are countless ways to tweak the look and feel of iOS using jailbreak tweaks but one of the easiest and quickest to get working is Barrel. Barrel - change home screen swiping animations This closes all background tasks, which can help to conserve battery life, free up memory, or just allow you to quickly restart numerous apps.ģ. One of my favourite additional icons is an app killswitch. In short CCSettings removes the need to constantly go into the main Settings app, but even if you do need to, you can just hold down on one the icons in Control Centre, and CCSettings takes you directly to that setting's page - genius. You can even toggle iOS's low power mode on or off - all from the easily accessible Control Center. ![]() ![]() This is incredibly useful if you regularly want to turn certain features off to conserve battery life, or just want quick access to things such as Personal Hotspot, the data or LTE toggles or VPN. This means you can add more icons and settings to the mix and completely customize what's there and where they appear. In fact, I'd almost consider not jailbreaking my device if they did - almost.įirstly, the row of settings icons at the top of the flip-up Control Centre window becomes scrollable horizontally - check out the video above to see this in action. Once again, this is something that Apple should absolutely introduce to iOS as standard as it includes several massively useful features. Whenever I've had to use an iOS device that wasn't jailbroken, probably my most-missed jailbreak tweak is CCSettings.
